EvE Time

Time to organise an OP? Getting the time correct can be tricky, especially when pilots occupy different time zones. For your convenience, here's a breakdown of how GMT is affected dependant on where you are in relation to EvE time.

EvE-time is based on Iceland's time zone.


Iceland
In the Western European Standard Time Zone (WET); Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the Standard Time.
Iceland has NO Daylight-Saving Time (DST) so EVE-time is always Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

UK
In the Western European Standard Time Zone (WET); Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is the Standard Time.
Western European Standard Time (WET) = GMT
British Summer (Daylight-Saving) Time (BST)/Western European Summer Time = GMT+1

USA
Eastern Time/East Coast Time (ET)
Eastern Standard Time (EST) = GMT-5
Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) = GMT-4

Central Standard Time (CST)
Central Standard Time (CST) = GMT-6
Central Daylight Time (CDT) = GMT-5

Mountain Time (MT)
Mountain Standard Time (MST) = GMT-7
Mountain Daylight Time (MDT) = GMT-6

Pacific Time/Pacific Coast Time/Pacific Time Zone/West Coast Time (PT)
Pacific Standard Time (PST) = GMT-8
Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) = GMT-7

UK & Europe Summer Time (DST) Rule
Start: Last Sunday in March - 28 March 2010
End: Last Sunday in October - 31 October 2010
Time: 1:00 am (01:00) Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)

USA Daylight-Saving Time (DST) Rule
Start: Second Sunday in March - 14 March 2010
End: First Sunday in November - 7 November 2010
Time: 2:00 am local time
